Jake Borelli is an American actor born on May 13, 1991, in Columbus, Ohio. He’s best known for playing Wolfgang on The Thundermans (2015–2018) and Dr. Levi Schmitt on Grey’s Anatomy (2017–2024). His parents are Linda and Mike Borelli, and he has two older brothers, Ben and Zack. Borelli loves painting and art and won a national art contest in high school, which made him think about art school. He finished Upper Arlington High School in 2009 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, after being accepted to UCLA and Ohio State. In Columbus, he acted in more than a dozen shows with the Columbus Children’s Theatre, including Cheaper by the Dozen, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Wiley and the Hairy Man, and Holes. In Los Angeles, he had supporting roles on TV shows like iCarly, Parenthood, NCIS: Los Angeles, True Jackson VP, Greek, and Suburgatory, and appeared in several short films. In 2017, he acted in the Netflix film Reality High and joined Grey’s Anatomy as intern Dr. Levi Schmitt. Borelli publicly came out as gay on Instagram in November 2018, shortly after his character came out on the show. His run on Grey’s Anatomy ended in 2024 after 124 episodes.
