Delta League
Delta League was a Class D minor league baseball league that operated in 1904. All six teams were based in Mississippi: Clarksdale, Yazoo City, Canton, Jackson Senators, Hattiesburg, and Brookhaven. The season began May 9, 1904, and Canton and Hattiesburg joined on May 16. The league ended September 3, 1904. Clarksdale finished first with a 67–31 record, four games ahead of Yazoo City (62–34). Canton (43–45), Jackson Senators (47–53), Hattiesburg (36–49), and Brookhaven (27–70) followed. There were no playoffs. The Delta League folded after the 1904 season. The league presidents were S. L. Dodds and V. M. Scanlan. Some sources say the league formed in 1905, but there are no known 1905 teams or results.
