Castellania Coppi
Castellania Coppi is a small municipality in the Piedmont region of Italy, in the Province of Alessandria. It sits about 100 kilometers southeast of Turin and 30 kilometers southeast of Alessandria. The town covers 7.21 square kilometers and sits at 400 meters above sea level. As of August 31, 2022, about 90 people live there. The mayor is Sergio Vallenzona. In 2019, the town changed its name from Castellania to Castellania Coppi to honor the famous cyclist Fausto Coppi on the centenary of his birth. The municipality is also the birthplace of Fausto Coppi (1919–1960) and his brother Serse Coppi (1923–1951). Castellania Coppi borders Avolasca, Carezzano, Costa Vescovato, Garbagna, Sant'Agata Fossili, and Sardigliano.
