The music video, directed by Gustavo Camacho, shows the artists as prisoners in a surreal work camp where they trim clouds to make rain for their loved one. Alejandro and Balvin performed the song on The Late Late Show with James Corden on November 23, 2020.
Background: Rauw Alejandro announced Afrodisíaco in February 2020, and by October he shared photos with Balvin, hinting at a collaboration. On November 9, 2020, the album’s track list included De Cora <3, and two days later the single was released. Balvin is described by Alejandro as like a big brother, and the two wanted the right song for their collaboration. The title De Cora translates to “From Heart,” with the “<3” symbol representing a heart.
