David James is a Canadian country pop singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Active since 2013, he was nominated for the Canadian Country Music Association Discovery Award in 2014 and the Rising Star Award in 2017. In August 2014, he signed with MDM Recordings. His debut single for the label, “What We Weren’t Looking For,” was released in February 2015, with a video premiering on CMT in March. The song reached number 27 on the Billboard Canada Country chart in June. His second single, “Some Hearts,” came out in September 2015, followed by “Lonely Girl” on March 8, 2016. All three songs were included on the EP “Songs About a Girl,” released on March 11, 2016.

In 2020, James released another EP, “If I Were You,” which includes the singles “Cars, Girls, And The Radio,” “All the Time,” and the title track, co-written with Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line and Hardy.
