Dar es Salaam Community Bank (DCB) is a private bank in Tanzania, officially known as DCB Commercial Bank and traded on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange under the symbol DCB. It began in 2001 as a microfinance bank to serve the poor in Dar es Salaam and nearby areas. The bank received a provisional license in 2001, started services in 2002, and in 2003 the Bank of Tanzania gave it an unrestricted license as a regional bank serving Dar es Salaam.

DCB floated on the stock exchange in 2008. In April 2012, it received a national commercial banking license, allowing it to expand nationwide, and it rebranded to DCB Commercial Bank while opening branches outside Dar es Salaam.

As of December 2013, DCB had assets of about TSh 143.97 billion (roughly US$85.7 million), deposits of about TSh 80.3 billion (US$47.8 million), and shareholders’ equity of about TSh 31.98 billion (US$19 million). After-tax profit was about TSh 3.7 billion (US$2.2 million). The bank is part of the Tanzania All Share Index.

DCB is governed by an eight-person board of directors. The chairman is Paul Milyango Rupia and the managing director is Edmund Pancras Mkwawa. It offers products such as loans, transaction accounts, savings, investments and debit cards. The bank is headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and more information is available at dcb.co.tz.
