Cryptopylos
Cryptopylos is a small genus of orchids in the orchid family (Orchidaceae). It has only one known species, Cryptopylos clausus, which is native to Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Sumatra). The species was first described as Sarcochilus clausus by J.J. Smith and was later moved to the genus Cryptopylos by Garay. Other names it has been known by include Pteroceras clausum and Sarcochilus pierrei. The genus Cryptopylos was defined by Garay, and C. clausus remains the sole species in the genus.
