Local government is run by a three-member board of trustees. They are elected in November of odd-numbered years to four-year terms that start on January 1. Two trustees are elected in the year after a presidential election, and one is elected in the year before it. There is also an elected township fiscal officer with a four-year term starting April 1 after the election held in November before the presidential election. If a vacancy happens, the remaining trustees fill it.
