Craspedia aurantia is a flowering plant in the daisy family that grows in alpine and subalpine grasslands and heath in New South Wales and Victoria, Australia. It has a single flowering stem 15–60 cm tall with light green, basal, spoon-shaped leaves that are 2–16 mm long and 2–25 mm wide. At the top of the stem is a yellow to orange-brown flower head 15–30 mm across, containing about 40–90 florets. The roots are densely covered with thick, matted hairs. The plant flowers in summer, and the fruit is a small cypsela 0.5–1.5 mm long and 0.1–0.8 mm wide. Craspedia aurantia was described in 1992 by Joy Everett and Joy Thompson; the name aurantia means orange, referring to the flower color.
