Federal University Teaching Hospital Wukari
Federal University Teaching Hospital Wukari is a public, multi-specialty teaching hospital in Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria, affiliated with Federal University, Wukari. It has an emergency department and a helipad.
In 2022, the Nigerian government announced that FUTHW would serve as a training institute for medical and allied courses at Federal University, Wukari.
The Acting Chief Medical Director is Daniel Zanyu Egah. In 2024, Madachi Dauda Ayuba was appointed Chief Medical Director, which led to mixed reactions among Taraba youth. Some groups argued the appointment was not merit-based, while others supported it, citing Ayuba’s dedication to healthcare.
In August 2024, the North East Development Commission installed solar lighting across the hospital as a major project.
