The County Rates 1852 was a United Kingdom law (15 & 16 Vict. c. 81) that combined and updated the rules for assessing and collecting county taxes in England and Wales. It repealed 11 earlier enactments and amended several existing acts, including the County Rates Act 1738, the Laws Continuance Act 1739, the County Rates Act 1815, and the County Rates within Boroughs Act 1849. The act applied to England and Wales and came into force on 30 June 1852. It was later fully repealed on 24 March 1948 by the Local Government Act 1948, with the repeal taking effect on the passing of that act.
