Lokendra Singh (politician)
Lokendra Singh (15 December 1976 – 21 February 2018) was an Indian politician from Uttar Pradesh and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as the MLA for Noorpur in the 16th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2012 to 2017 and again briefly in the 17th Assembly from March 2017 until his death in February 2018. He was born in Sahaspur, Uttar Pradesh, and lived there. He held a Master of Arts degree from Bareilly College, M. J. P. Rohilkhand University, and worked as an agriculturist before entering politics. On 12 August 2017, a case was filed against him, his brother, and a former Samajwadi Party MLA for allegedly detaining a farmer who died after torture. He died in a traffic collision on 21 February 2018 at the age of 41.
