Country of Living
Country of Living, also known as Country to Live or Land of Living, is an Armenian political party founded in August 2021 and led by Mane Tandilyan. It began with Mesrop Arakelyan and Mane Tandilyan as founders; Arakelyan later merged the Mission Party with Country of Living. Tandilyan, previously a member of Bright Armenia, was elected chairwoman. Both she and Arakelyan had served as Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs under Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The party has no seats in the National Assembly and operates as an extra-parliamentary force.
In November 2021, the party won seats in several municipalities, including Tegh, Dilijan, Tatev, Meghri and Gyumri. In Tatev, it formed an alliance with the Shant Alliance to lead the city council. In 2023, it ran in the Yerevan City Council elections with Tandilyan as mayoral candidate but won only 3.64% of the vote and no seats.
The party’s platform aims to unite people for Armenia, ensure long-term security, pursue an effective foreign policy and diaspora cooperation, improve education, health and welfare, support population growth, create a new public administration, uphold the rule of law and an independent judiciary, preserve national-cultural values, and back Artsakh’s independence.
