The North Platte Indians were a minor league baseball team from North Platte, Nebraska. They played in the Class D Nebraska State League from 1956 to 1959 and were affiliated with the Cleveland Indians.

They followed the earlier North Platte Buffalos, who played in the same league from 1928 to 1932. The Buffalos held games at Jeffers Field in Union Pacific Park, but the field burned down in 1955. When the Indians started in 1956, they played at Bill Wood Field in Cody Park, a ballpark that is still in use today.

In 1958, the Indians had a strong season, finishing 41–22 and winning the Nebraska State League championship under manager Mark Wylie.

A notable moment from North Platte baseball history is that on July 29, 1928, Buffalos pitcher Joe Smith threw a seven-inning no-hitter in a 3–0 win over Beatrice.

The Nebraska State League folded after the 1959 season, and the North Platte Indians, along with other teams, stopped playing. Bill Wood Field remains in Cody Park and is used today for local baseball, including the North Platte American Legion team and the 2024 Pecos League expansion team, the North Platte 80s. The field is located at 18th & Jeffers in North Platte.
