Contrazy is a small commune in the Ariège department in southwestern France, within the Occitanie region. It is part of the Saint-Girons arrondissement and the Portes du Couserans canton. The area covers 18.27 square kilometers and lies at elevations between 387 and 693 meters (average around 540 m). As of 2023, the population is 76, with a density of about 9.2 inhabitants per square kilometer. The current mayor (2020–2026) is Christian Torrell. Residents are called Contrasiens in French (Contrasi in Occitan). The INSEE code is 09098 and the postal code is 09230.
