E Shed Markets
E Shed Markets is a weekend market in Fremantle, Western Australia, located on Victoria Quay in the Fremantle Harbour. It’s housed in the historic timber building known as the "E" Shed, which was built in 1929 as a replacement for an earlier shed at the same site.
In 1995, the shed was moved from the riverfront to land behind the B and C sheds and rotated 180 degrees. The building is listed in the Western Australia Heritage Register.
The market offers free weekend entertainment, including live music, tribute shows, children’s activities like face painting, magicians, and quizzes. Inside the market, Squiffies Café operates seven days a week, serving pastries and drinks.
The structure was redesigned as a market by AND Design (Tarek Ibrahim) and built by the Fini Group, with a construction cost of about A$6 million.
