Collier Bay is a large bay in the Indian Ocean on the Kimberley coast in north-west Western Australia. It stretches about 100 kilometres from east to west and about 65 kilometres from north to south. The bay is bordered by the Yampi Peninsula to the south and by Montgomery Reef and Koolan Island to the west, with Camden Sound Marine Park nearby. Inside the bay are several islands, including the Kingfisher Islands, Traverse Island and Fletcher Island. Fresh water flows into the bay from Secure Bay and from Walcott Inlet, which brings water from the Charnley, Calder and Isdell Rivers via the Yule Entrance. The bay was named in 1821 by Phillip Parker King after Sir George Collier, a Vice Admiral in the Royal Navy.
