Clarksburg is a small community in Yolo County, California, located on the Sacramento River in the county’s southeastern corner. It covers about 2 square miles of land, sits around 10 feet above sea level, and uses the ZIP code 95612 with area codes 916 and 279. The climate is warm in the summers.

History goes back to the 1850s. A post office opened in 1876 as Clarksburgh and was renamed Clarksburg in 1893 after Robert C. Clark. In the 1920s, the New Holland Land Company helped develop the area. The Old Sugar Mill, built in the 1930s, became a major site of development but closed as a mill in 1988; parts of the site now host a winery and new homes, though the project faced regulatory hurdles. The nearby Bogle Winery and other vineyards helped put Clarksburg on the wine map. Agriculture focuses on wine grapes, tomatoes, and seed grasses.
Annual events include the Paul Reese Memorial Clarksburg Country Run every November and the Wines of Clarksburg fundraiser for the library.
