Chuquibamba District is one of eight districts in Condesuyos Province, Arequipa Region, Peru. The capital is the town of Chuquibamba. It covers about 1,255 square kilometers and sits at an elevation of around 2,945 meters above sea level. As of the 2005 census, about 4,123 people lived there, giving a population density of roughly 3.3 people per square kilometer. The district is located at approximately 15.85° S latitude and 72.94° W longitude. The mayor is Miguel Angel Manchego Llerena. The UBIGEO code is 040601. In Spanish, the district is also known as Chuqipampa. The time zone is PET (UTC-5).
