Christopher Roop

Christopher Khristoforovich Roop (Russian: Христофор Христофорович Рооп) was an officer in the Imperial Russian Army. Born 1 May 1831 (New Style 13 May), he died in 1917 in Petrograd. He rose through the ranks, becoming colonel in 1857, major general in 1863, and lieutenant general in 1871. He commanded the 1st Grenadier Division and the 6th Army Corps.
