Christina Ekberg
Alfrida Christina Ekberg (1874–1936) was a Swedish Social Democratic politician. She joined the Social Democratic Party in 1893 and worked for women’s rights. She was active in the local women’s movement through the Stockholms Allmänna Kvinnoklubb, which supported the campaign for women’s suffrage led by Landsföreningen för kvinnans politiska rösträtt. Ekberg held several local political roles in Stockholm. In 1927 she became a member of the Swedish Parliament (Second Chamber) for Stockholm County, after Sven Johan Karlsson resigned. She served as MP until the end of the term in 1928.
