Chisocheton velutinus is a tree in the Meliaceae family. The name velutinus means velvety, referring to the soft texture of its leaves and fruits. It can grow up to 25 meters tall with a trunk up to 8 cm in diameter. The flowers are cream-colored. The fruits are yellow at first and turn red when ripe; they are round and about 4 cm across. This species is only found in Borneo, where it lives in rainforests from sea level up to 650 meters in elevation.
