West Australian Forest Alliance

The Western Australian Forest Alliance (WAFA) brings together Western Australian environmental groups to protect the state's old-growth forests in the Southwest. They publish guides, fact sheets, posters and other resources to help people learn about forest protection.

WAFA is a successor to earlier groups, including the Campaign to Save Native Forests, the South West Forests Defence Foundation, the Great Walk Networking, and other Conservation Council of Western Australia members.

The Alliance helped push the Western Australian government to stop commercial logging of native forests, with a plan to end logging from 2024 onwards.

WAFA is also a leading member of the End Forest Mining alliance, which campaigns to end bauxite mining in Western Australia's Northern Jarrah Forest.

WAFA lists its member groups (as of May 2023).
