Kitten Creek
Kitten Creek
Kitten Creek is a small stream in Missouri, flowing through St. Clair and Vernon counties. It is a tributary of Clear Creek, which eventually feeds the Osage River.
The headwaters start in eastern Vernon County, south of Harwood, at about 860 feet above sea level. The creek runs east for about 5.5 miles (8.9 kilometers) to join Clear Creek in southwest St. Clair County, at about 728 feet elevation, roughly 3 miles north of El Dorado Springs.
Kitten Creek was named after a local woman who owned many pet cats.
