Cibitoke is a city in northwestern Burundi, near the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is the capital of Cibitoke Province. The city sits about 915 meters (3,000 feet) above sea level and had around 23,900 people in 2008. Cibitoke is the birthplace of Olympic judoka Odette Ntahonvukiye. The province is governed by a community administrator and is divided into six communes.
