Children Without
Children Without is a 1964 American short documentary directed by Charles Guggenheim. The screenplay was written by Charles Guggenheim and Shelby Storck, who also produced the film. Cinematography was by Victor Duncan, and it was distributed by the National Education Association. The film is in English and was made in the United States.
The documentary follows a young girl and her brother as they grow up in Detroit’s housing projects. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short but did not win, with the award going to Nine from Little Rock, another Guggenheim film.
In 2016, the Academy Film Archive preserved the film.
