The 2009 French Road Cycling Cup was its 18th edition. The number of events dropped from 14 to 11, and Tour du Haut Var, Grand Prix de Rennes, and Paris–Bourges were removed from the calendar. The defending champion was Jérôme Pineau, who had won the Cup for Bouygues Télécom but moved to Quick-Step and did not play a big role in the series. French rider Jimmy Casper of Besson Chaussures–Sojasun won the Cup, leading from start to finish and taking three race wins.
