Crystal Ball (Styx song)
"Crystal Ball" is the title track and the second single from Styx's Crystal Ball album. It was written by guitarist Tommy Shaw, who had just joined the band. The single, with the B-side "Put Me On," was released in June 1977 and recorded in 1976. It falls into the rock/folk rock genre and was released by A&M. A live version recorded in 1979 was later included on the 1980 Roadie soundtrack and also appeared on a Japan-only Styx compilation released on LP in 1981 and on CD in 1986.
