Chaetopappa pulchella
Chaetopappa pulchella Shinners is a North American plant in the Asteraceae family. It is found only in Coahuila, northern Mexico. It grows on the bottoms of canyons and ravines in the Chihuahuan Desert. The plant is very small, usually not more than about 7 cm tall, and it has a taproot, which may help it survive harsh seasons as a perennial. Its flower heads have lavender ray florets and yellow disc florets.
