Pistole (Scottish coin)
The pistole was a Scottish gold coin minted in 1701 during King William III’s reign. Along with the half-pistole, it was the last gold coin produced for Scottish coinage. It weighed 106 grains (about 6.9 grams or 0.22 troy ounces) and was worth 12 Scottish pounds.
