Châteauvert
Châteauvert, known in Occitan as Castèuvoerd, is a small commune in southeastern France. It sits in the Var department within the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. The area covers about 127.5 square kilometers. In 2023, about 141 people lived there, so it’s very sparsely populated. The land rises from 162 to 561 meters above sea level, with an average around 187 meters. Châteauvert is well known for rock climbing on its limestone cliffs. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Serge Loudes.
