Pat Hughes (Irish: Pádraig Ó hAodha) is a Gaelic footballer from Sligo, Ireland. He plays for the Geevagh club and formerly played for the Sligo county team from 2010 to 2022. He captained Sligo’s minor team and was a teacher before focusing on sport. Hughes made his senior inter-county debut in 2010 and finished with Sligo after the 2022 season. He earned Man of the Match on his first championship start in New York in May 2012. By June 2017, since his championship debut, he had scored 3 goals and 16 points in the All-Ireland Championship. At club level, he helped Geevagh win the intermediate championship in 2009. He won the Trench Cup with St Patrick's College in 2011 and later studied at Ulster University, playing in the Sigerson Cup for Jordanstown. He also played for Connacht Rugby at under-20 level in 2010. In school, he played fly-half and won the Connacht Schools Cup with Sligo Grammar School in 2010.
