Castlewarren
Castlewarren, or Caisleán an Bhairínigh in Irish, is a small village in County Kilkenny, Ireland. It lies about 4 kilometers north of the N10 road at Flagmount, on a ridge about 200 meters high. The name comes from a castle site on that ridge. The village has a Catholic church dedicated to St. Scuithin. The church sits on the site of an old kiln, where people once celebrated Mass with a makeshift altar. Over time, simple shelters were added to protect women from the weather. The present church was built in 1829 in the shape of a cross. Castlewarren is a sub-parish of Clara, Kilkenny.
