Can Öncü
Can Alexander Öncü is a Turkish motorcycle racer born on July 26, 2003, in Alanya, Turkey. He has a twin brother, Deniz Öncü, and both are mentored by Turkish racer Kenan Sofuoğlu. Öncü progressed through the Asia Talent Cup and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, winning the latter in 2018. Later that year he became the youngest rider to win a Grand Prix, taking the Valencia race at age 15 years and 115 days and becoming the first Turkish rider to win a GP road race.
In 2019 he raced in Moto3 with Red Bull KTM Ajo but scored only eight points and finished 31st in the standings. From 2020 he switched to the Supersport World Championship with the Turkish Racing Team, initially with Kawasaki and later with Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing. He finished 12th in 2020, moved into the top 10 and earned his first podium in 2021, and he also rode as a wildcard in the CIV at Mugello in 2021. In 2025 he finished 2nd in the World Supersport Championship with 372 points. He continues with Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing, riding bike number 61.
