Cabinet of Nyo Saw
The cabinet, officially called the Union Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, is led by Prime Minister Nyo Saw. It is the fifth Myanmar government under the 2008 constitution and the second military-led government since the 2021 coup. It took office on 31 July 2025 after the state of emergency ended and power was transferred to the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services.
The National Defence and Security Council appointed Nyo Saw as Prime Minister to head the Union Government ahead of the 2025 general elections. On the same day, the council created the State Security and Peace Commission to oversee the election, with Min Aung Hlaing as Chairman and Nyo Saw as a member. The 31-member cabinet was formed by NDSC Orders 3/2025 and 5/2025.
