Chase Stillman
Chase Stillman is an American-born Canadian ice hockey player who plays right wing. He was born on March 19, 2003, in St. Louis, Missouri, and grew up in Peterborough, Ontario. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 183 pounds, shoots right, and is under contract to the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL, playing for their AHL affiliate Abbotsford Canucks.
Stillman started his junior career with the Sudbury Wolves after being picked 25th overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. He put up 13 goals and 34 points in 58 games in his first season and earned a spot on the OHL First All-Rookie Team. The pandemic shortened or paused play in 2020-21, so he spent time with Esbjerg Energy in Denmark to stay developing. He was drafted 29th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2021 and signed a three-year contract with them. In 2021-22 he was traded to the Peterborough Petes in January 2022, finishing with 29 points in 35 games after the move. He then joined the Devils’ AHL affiliate Utica Comets for their playoffs in 2022, though he did not play that year. He returned to Peterborough for 2022-23, scoring 48 points in 59 games. Turning pro in 2023, he scored his first pro goal on October 28, 2023, and notched a hat trick on February 25, 2024, with Utica, finishing his first AHL season with 24 points in 54 games. In 2024-25 he was recalled by New Jersey but mostly used as a healthy scratch, and on March 7, 2025, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins. On July 13, 2025, he moved to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Artūrs Šilovs. His father Cory Stillman, his grandfather Bud Stefanski, and his brother Riley Stillman have all played in the NHL.
