CFL Class 4000
CFL Class 4000 (TRAXX)
The CFL Class 4000 are electric locomotives built by Bombardier in 2004–2005 for CFL Luxembourg. Twenty units were produced, numbered 4001–4020, and they are officially named TRAXX.
They operate mainly on Luxembourg’s passenger services but can cross borders into France, Belgium and Germany thanks to multi-system electric technology. They haul Bombardier bilevel passenger cars and also handle freight traffic.
