Bukit Kangkar
Bukit Kangkar is a small town in Mukim Serom, Tangkak District, Johor, Malaysia. It sits about 16 km from Muar and 12 km from Tangkak, and centers on two villages—Kampung Parit Pelampong and Kampung Gelugur—along with newer housing areas. It’s the first town you reach on the way to Muar from the Tangkak Interchange on the PLUS Expressways, and you can spot it from the road by two large water tanks. About 3 km away is Sungai Mati, the birthplace of Johor’s former Menteri Besar Abdul Ghani Othman. Bukit Kangkar is also the place of origin of Haji Abdul Hamid Bin Hamzah, founder and principal of Seni Silat Sendeng Malaysia, who lived there until his last days.
