Raymond Herrera
Raymond Herrera is an American drummer and musician best known as a founding member and former drummer of the industrial metal band Fear Factory. He also played for Brujeria and Arkaea and works as a composer and producer for video games, television, films, and other media.
Herrera’s commercial album debut was Fear Factory’s Soul of a New Machine in 1992. The band followed with a busy run of recording and touring for many years. He is recognized for his fast playing and a distinctive “stop-go” double-bass style.
Starting in 1996, Herrera licensed Fear Factory’s music for video games and launched Herrera Productions, which was renamed 3volution Productions in 2003. He produced music for games including the first two Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter titles, Rainbow Six: Lockdown, Scarface: The World Is Yours, and Iron Man 2.
In 2006 he started Temple Studios LLC and co-founded Redux Beverages LLC. In 2008 he played with Arkaea, releasing the album Years in the Darkness. He started Alt-Strum Productions in 2009 and, in 2010, co-created Freedom To Rock, a nonprofit where he served on the board.
From 2011 to 2012, Herrera contributed to the development of the FUS1ON Gaming controller with Power A. In 2013 he helped create Capital Source Network, a beverage industry broker. In 2015 he started 3volution Organics with his wife Paula; it became a national broker in 2017 and expanded into online and international markets by 2021.
