Buffalo Bulls baseball, 2010–2019
Buffalo Bulls baseball represented the University at Buffalo in NCAA Division I and played in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The team hosted games at Amherst Audubon Field and was led by head coach Ron Torgalski from 2010 through 2017.
Season by season highlights:
- 2010: 23–29 overall, 9–18 MAC; finished fifth in the East Division.
- 2011: 14–38 overall, 3–22 MAC; finished sixth in the East.
- 2012: 20–36 overall, 10–16 MAC; finished fourth in the East.
- 2013: 33–24 overall, 19–7 MAC; finished second in the East.
- 2014: 26–26 overall, 13–13 MAC; finished fourth in the East.
- 2015: 16–35 overall, 7–20 MAC; finished sixth in the East.
- 2016: 21–31 overall, 8–16 MAC; finished tied for fourth in the East.
- 2017: 17–34 overall, 8–16 MAC; finished tied for fourth in the East and did not reach the MAC tournament.
In 2017 Buffalo announced the elimination of baseball (and three other sports). The Bulls’ final home game was a 10-inning 10–9 win over Niagara on May 16, 2017, and the program’s last game was May 20, 2017 at Western Michigan, a 7–3 loss.
