Rita Gildemeister
Rita Gildemeister (born 6 March 1947 in Klueß) is a German former athlete who specialized in the high jump. She competed for East Germany in the women’s high jump at the 1972 Summer Olympics. She won the East German championship in 1965 and earned two silver and two bronze medals at the national championships from 1967 to 1971. In indoor competitions, she won four silver medals at the East German championships between 1965 and 1973. She competed for the sports club SC Leipzig.
