Bruce Beach, Florida
Bruce Beach is a park under construction in Pensacola, Florida. The area used to be an industrial site and had a swimming pool for African American residents. In 2023, the site was revitalized. It was a gathering place for the local African American community. The pool operated until the 1970s. A pedestrian bridge over Washerwoman Creek is planned to connect Bruce Beach to Community Maritime Park, and there will be signage explaining the history.
