Brachymesia herbida
Brachymesia herbida, the tawny pennant, is a dragonfly in the Libellulidae family. It is found across the Caribbean, Central America, North America, and South America. The IUCN lists it as Least Concern, with a stable population; the latest assessment was in 2017. Scientific classification: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Odonata; Infraorder Anisoptera; Family Libellulidae; Genus Brachymesia; Species B. herbida. It was described by Gundlach in 1889.
