Arachne checkerspot is a butterfly. Its scientific name is Poladryas arachne. It belongs to the animal kingdom, the Arthropoda phylum, the Insecta class, the Lepidoptera order, the Nymphalidae family, the Melitaeini tribe, and the Poladryas genus. The species was described by W. H. Edwards in 1869. The arachne checkerspot is part of the group of butterflies that includes crescents, checkerspots, and anglewings. Its MONA or Hodges number is 4514. There are five subspecies of Poladryas arachne.
