Warren Moon (soccer)
Warren Moon (born 27 May 1982) is an Australian soccer manager and former player. He was born in Gravesend, England, and is 1.83 meters tall. He played as a midfielder.
Moon began his senior career with Brisbane Strikers in 2003, then joined Queensland Roar for the inaugural A-League season in 2005. He later spent time with Queen of the South in Scotland before returning to Australia to coach and play for Eastern Suburbs in 2008. He went on to play for Brisbane Strikers (2009) and later for Peninsula Power and Queensland Lions.
As a coach, Moon led Eastern Suburbs in 2008, then coached Peninsula Power (2012–2014) and Lions FC (2014–2019). He also coached at Anglican Church Grammar School, earning a GPS premiership in 2019. In 2019 he became general manager of the Brisbane Roar Academy, and on 16 July 2020 he was appointed head coach of Brisbane Roar. He was sacked on 20 February 2023 after a winless run, finishing with 22 wins, 22 draws and 31 losses, two finals appearances, and a 2022 Australia Cup semi-final.
Moon was then appointed interim head coach of the Central Coast Mariners, just before the 2025–26 A-League season, following the departure of Mark Jackson.
