Boucheron
Boucheron is a French luxury jewelry, watches, and fragrance house based in Paris at 26 Place Vendôme. It is part of the Kering group. Hélène Poulit-Duquesne has been CEO since 2015 and Claire Choisne has been creative director since 2011.
Founded in 1858 by Frédéric Boucheron, the brand opened its first shop in Paris and moved to Place Vendôme in 1893, where it remains today. Boucheron helped pioneer the rondelle diamond cut and a clasp-less necklace in 1889, and created iconic designs like the Plume de Paon (Peacock’s Feather). The brand attracted royal patrons and expanded with stores around the world, including Moscow, London, New York, Tokyo, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur.
Today Boucheron makes jewelry, watches, and perfumes. It operates 34 boutiques worldwide and sells its fragrance line under license by Interparfums since 2011. The company has collaborated with designers and watchmakers over the years, such as Waterman, Alexander McQueen, Girard-Perregaux, and MB&F. It uses the BIRD diamond rating system to evaluate stone quality. Boucheron remains a symbol of Parisian luxury and is worn by celebrities at events like the Cannes Film Festival and the Oscars.
