The Médio Tejo Intermunicipal Community is an administrative region in central Portugal, named after the Tagus River. It was created in December 2008, replacing the earlier Médio Tejo Urban Community from 2004. The seat is Tomar. The area covers about 3,344 square kilometers, and the population in 2011 was about 247,300. It is part of the Oeste e Vale do Tejo NUTS 3 region and includes parts of the districts of Santarém and Castelo Branco. The CIM Médio Tejo is made up of 13 municipalities.
