Bethany Mae Dobbin, born on 7 June 1994 in Doncaster, England, is a British sprinter who mainly competes in the 200 metres. She holds the Scottish record for the 200m with a time of 22.50 seconds, set in 2019.

Dobbin has represented Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and helped Britain set a world-leading time in the 4x100 metres at the British Grand Prix in May 2022, clocking 42.29 seconds. She also represented Scotland at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the 4x400 metres.

Her career highlights include a 2016 season best of 23.94 seconds for the 200m, and a 2017 best of 23.31 seconds (23.42 in the British final). In 2018 she broke the Scottish 200m record several times: 22.84 at Eton, 22.83 in Stockholm, 22.75 in the heats at the British Championships, and 22.59 in the final. She also ran 11.64 seconds for the 100m and 53.21 seconds for the indoor 400m. At the 2018 Athletics World Cup in London she finished third in the 200m (22.95), and at the European Championships in Berlin she finished seventh in the 200m final (22.93).

On 20 July 2019 she set the Scottish 200m record again with 22.50 seconds at the Müller Anniversary Games in London. She qualified for the women’s 200m at the Tokyo Olympics, reaching the semi-finals with 22.78 seconds.

Dobbin is the daughter of former footballer Jim Dobbin, who played for Celtic, Grimsby Town, Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers.
