In duplicate bridge, a caddy is an assistant to the tournament director. The caddy helps run the event by preparing the playing tables, arranging boards, and setting up scoring materials such as electronic scoring devices, score slips, pencils, and private score sheets. The caddy also collects player entry forms and assists the director as needed to keep the competition moving smoothly.
