Ben Duckett
Ben Matthew Duckett is an English cricketer who bats left‑handed and bowls right‑arm off break. He is a top‑order batsman for England in all formats and plays for Nottinghamshire in domestic cricket. He has appeared in The Hundred for Welsh Fire and Birmingham Phoenix and, in 2026, joined the Delhi Capitals in the IPL.
Duckett began his county career with Northamptonshire in 2012. He had a breakout year in 2016, scoring 1,338 first‑class runs, including a top score of 282 not out against Sussex, and helped Northants win the Twenty20 Blast. He moved to Nottinghamshire in 2019.
Internationally, Duckett made his England ODI debut on 7 October 2016 against Bangladesh and his Test debut on 20 October 2016 against Bangladesh. He later made his T20I debut on 5 May 2019 against Pakistan.
In 2022, Duckett joined England’s Bazball era. He and Zak Crawley posted the fastest ever England opening century partnership in a Test (83 balls) and were part of the fastest double‑hundred partnership in Tests (233 balls). He scored his highest Test score, 182, against Ireland in 2023 and also hit his first ODI century, 107 not out, against Ireland later that year. He played in the 2023 Ashes and remained a key member of England’s batting lineup.
In 2025, Duckett scored 165 off 143 balls against Australia in the ICC Champions Trophy, the tournament’s highest individual ODI score at the time. He was part of England’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup and for the home Tests against West Indies in 2024. In 2026, he joined the Delhi Capitals in the IPL.
